Three years with Gold Rush Robotics, UNC Charlotte’s IEEE Robotics and Automation Society student branch — progressing from core member through Vice President to President.
Timeline
2022–2023 — Core Member Joined as a guiding member in the club’s early development. Championed the team’s transition from Arduino to Raspberry Pi. Contributed to robot design and build for the IEEE Southeastcon 2023 Hardware Competition in Orlando, FL.
2023–2024 — Vice President Took on the VP role, leading the Software subteam. Championed the team’s transition to ROS with a custom PCB for improved data and power management. Competed at IEEE Southeastcon 2024 in Atlanta, GA.
2024–2025 — President Led the full organization: strategy, recruitment, member mentorship, and competition logistics. Mentored 20+ members across electrical and software subteams.
